About Us
Newton site has two buildings. A two storey building with our baby room (Little Explorers), toddler room (Little Discoverers) and Little Learners Academy which hosts classes for babies and toddler during term time and holiday club. The newer building has two sides one for children 3-3.5 (Little Achievers) and bigger side for children 3.5 to school (Big Achievers).

Little Foxes took over this nursery that was previously Wind in the Willows on 17th August 2016.
The two story building is made up of three converted cottages, set over two floors. Located on the ground floor is now the baby room with a brand new baby garden. We developed the room and it now includes a sensory room, beach room, sleep room and creative room with direct access into a outdoor provision solely for use by the babies. Toddlers is located on the ground floor. We have had a brand new garden developed.

Upstairs is the Little Learners Academy which has weekly classes such as Baby Yoga, 5 alive sensory time, messy Monday’s, pow active toddler and chill and chat. The classes are term time then the room transforms for holiday club for children age 4-12+. Holiday club have lots of fun, games and trips out.
Canal street is a purpose built nursery. The nursery is an open plan building. The layout inside splits the room into 2 with the younger pre-schoolers on one side of the nursery and the older pre-schoolers in the other. We have created a focused room for the practitioners to take small groups of children to complete activities such as phonics and language assessment programmes. Both rooms have free flow access to the garden and have a mini snuggle garden with astro turf.

The nursery is open 5 days per week, 7.30am to 6.30pm and is open all year round except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
The Nursery Manager is the SENCO and Safeguarding Officer, we also have a fully trained SENCO who supports Kath and all staff are trained in Safeguarding. All practitioners hold a recognised Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
Our ethos is ‘to give unlimited and natural play experiences’. A major part of this is to have the setting painted calm neutral colours and have as many open ended natural resources.
The nursery has CCTV with sound added into the playrooms and garden areas, this is monitored at head office. We have coded doors added onto the playrooms to ensure the safety of the children using the nursery.

Our Safe & Secure Facilities
Our facilities provide state of the art security throughout, giving our parents complete peace of mind as to the safety of their precious children.

We have pin coded security entrances / exits ensuring your child is safe at all times. Each room has CCTV which is controlled and monitored by the Nursery Manager on an ongoing basis.
Feeding Your Little Ones
At Little Foxes Nursery, we completely understand the importance of healthy eating and nutrition for our children. We provide freshly prepared, carefully balanced, nutritious meals appropriate to each child's developmental stage.

We actively encourage our children to make healthy choices for their snacks which help them to develop their understanding of healthy eating whilst also growing their independence too.

We cater for all dietary requirements, special needs or religious beliefs – lactose intolerant, diabetes, celiac, gluten free, vegetarian or any other requirements. Rest assured that your child will only be given the appropriate and correct foods at all times.
Each child is treated as an individual and with respect and these are values which we teach to all the children in our care. They learn to understand how we are all different and how we must always treat each other in a kind and caring manner.

We work and partner with outside professionals and agencies; local play schools; local play groups; companies and all government initiatives to ensure that your child is receiving the highest level of education and support available.
Values & Standards
We involve parents in the education of their children in order to support and extend each child's learning and foster a climate of co-operation, respect and to promote mutual understanding.

A good relationship between the home and nursery is seen as being central to the children's success and development.

The Little Foxes Team work in partnership with our parents and we encourage our open door policy whereby any parent may ask to see their child at any point during the day ensuring that we uphold good practice at all times.
